Valid PA Certification as a Supervisor of Special Education or Principal K-12. Experience working with challenging students; must have the ability to be trained and utilize TACT-2 methods of behavior assessment and apply restraint when necessary; background/knowledge of adolescent mental health issues beneficial.
Must have basic computer skills to utilize both CIU-20 computer-based and web-based programs. |

To serve as Coordinator to the Professional/Paraprofessional Special Education Staff in the Emotional Support Program and direct education/activities that emphasize the students’ needs, functions, and support systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform management functions to ensure smooth daily operations of the Emotional Support Program. • Provide leadership and expertise to the Intermediate Unit and member school districts in the area supervised. • Make contributions to the achievement of all Intermediate Unit goals in support of the vision and mission of the Intermediate Unit. • Demonstrate active participation and involvement with respect to community relations. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Special Education and Director of Special Education. |

Your application packet will be screened and reviewed by the program administrator. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contact by the administrator regarding an interview date and time. If you are recommended as a finalist for a position, you will need to have all credentials (3 Clearances, School Personnel Health Record) submitted in order to be recommended to the Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 Board of Directors for hire. This will include completing an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 and showing originals of documents you wish to submit to establish employment identity and work authorization. This will be handled through the Recruitment Office.
Physical and TB results within the last three months of receipt will be accepted if they are recorded on the School Personnel Health Record. Dates of results longer than three months of our receipt will not be accepted.
